Revenue Cycle Management Specialist | Fortuna Healthcare Consulting Services
Debra Price
Debra Price spent much of her 35+ year career as the Billing Manager for a large neurology practice, which means she has seen how a missed step at the front end can surface weeks later as a denial, delayed payment, or aging receivable. That operating perspective shapes the way she approaches revenue cycle problems today.
At FHCS, Debra works across charge capture, claims management, denials, accounts receivable, payment posting, and revenue integrity. Her deep neurology background is especially valuable in practices with EMG, EEG, infusion, and other procedure-heavy services, where authorization, documentation, coding, billing, and payment all have to work together for revenue to move cleanly.
Debra follows revenue from the patient encounter through final payment and identifies where it stalls — an authorization without clear ownership, a charge that never makes it to billing, an incorrect coding or modifier issue, a denial that is repeatedly reworked instead of resolved, or an underpayment that does not match the payer contract.
She then works alongside billing and practice teams to correct the underlying process, not simply fix the individual claim.
Her value is knowing where to look. After more than three decades in revenue cycle operations, Debra recognizes the patterns behind aging A/R, recurring denials, and missed revenue — and knows how to trace them back to the process that needs to change.
